Almost Islanders is currently a fraternity of eight musicians all hailing from San Diego. Originally formed in 2007, their evolution reflects the very nature of their identity as an emerging musical contributor to Southern California “Feel Good” music in the lexicon of reggae and world beat.
Despite their origins outside the universe of Hawaiian culture or Island music, and drawing their influences of Hip Hop, R&B, Rock, Jazz & Blues, it's only a natural evolution that they find themselves drawn to the rhythms of the Hawaiian "Ohana" spirit dominant to the lifestyle of beach culture in these parts of the Pacific Ocean.
